Four vehicles, including an ambulance and city bus collided in Harlem Sunday sending 19 people to area hospitals.
According to witness reports, a woman behind the wheel of an Acura sedan didn’t appear to see or hear an ambulance that was speeding down West 125th St. shortly before 12:00 p.m. and drove directly into it’s path. “Because she had the music loud and she was on the phone, she didn’t hear the ambulance,” said 37 year-old Moise Cone, of the Bronx.
The ambulance, which was responding to a call in Randalls Island, swerved to avoid the Acura and clipped a sedan. The ambulance then blowed into a city bus at the intersection of Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard. An SUV then collided with the bus.
None of the injures were considered life-threatening.
